Breakdown Ministries | Core Values

Breakdown Ministries: A Local Missions Movement.

Breakdown Ministries emerged from a vision to equip pastors and their churches through local mission planning and to provide them with tools and resources to serve their communities.

What shapes the core of what we do?
Missional Legacy • Collaboration • Gospel Driven • Dependence• Courage

Through God’s provision and direction, Breakdown Ministries seeks to form a missional Legacy that will change the face of local missions. Development of our missional Legacy is dependent on and driven by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Breakdown Ministries courageously seeks to enhance the welfare of our cities and ultimately break down the walls between the church and our communities for the sake of our Savior. This vision can only be accomplished through God’s grace and strength as we collaborate with city leaders, pastors, churches, and volunteers.

“For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.” Mark 8:35

Live out the Missional Legacy. The vision of Breakdown Ministries is long-term. Igniting change to deliver a lasting impact pumps the heart of this ministry. Our vision is to empower churches to love their communities and to provide the resources to do so for generations to come.

“And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2

Restore through Collaboration. The Body of Christ is designed to work together-each part holds a significant role. Without each part, the purpose breaks apart. We collaborate with church, cities, individuals, and organizations to work together and build each other up towards the common goal of spreading the Gospel and caring for our communities to restore lives through Christ.

“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:12

Be Gospel driven to act. ‘You received without paying; give without pay…’ (Matthew 10:8) Because God’s grace and love were freely given to us, we should freely serve and give to others. Jesus calls His followers to share the Good News; every believer is compelled through obedience to share God’s Word so that all might know the one, true, eternal hope.

“We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

Dependence on Christ. Apart from God, we can do nothing. The calling and effect of Breakdown’s ministry is solely dependent on the power, direction, and will of God. We stand reliant on the Lord for His guidance, control, and provision for every detail, individual, opportunity, and organization involved.

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us...” Ephesians 3:20

Unite through Courage. The Lord has commanded us to be strong and courageous, and to fight for the cities where He has placed us. We want to be of good courage in continually seeking God’s will in approaching pastors and churches for the sake of reaching our communities for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. We stand confident in the size, depth, and love of our God, so we boldly run to the call He has set before us by courageously seeking to restore a presence for the Church within our communities.

“Be of good courage, and let us be courageous for our people, and for the cities of our God, and may the Lord do what seems good to him.” 2 Samuel 10:12

“Indeed, I counted everything as loss because of the surpassing worth
of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord…” Philippians 3:8
